Etsy listing states

Every product on your Products page shows one of three Etsy states, colour-coded so you can tell at a glance how deeply SKUvio is involved with it. This is the most important mental model in the app: it tells you whether SKUvio owns a listing’s content, only its stock and orders, or nothing at all.

Fully managed (green)

A green Listing #X badge means SKUvio owns the whole listing. The product has both an Etsy link and export settings, so SKUvio manages the listing content — title, description, photos, tags, translations, and properties — and keeps inventory in sync.

This is the state you reach after configuring a product and clicking Export to Etsy. Re-exporting pushes any changes to Etsy, and inventory and orders keep flowing automatically. See Configure a listing.

Syncing only (yellow)

A yellow Listing #X badge with an information icon means the product is SKU-mapped to an existing Etsy listing, but has no export settings. SKUvio keeps inventory, prices, and orders in sync, but it does not manage the listing’s content — your Etsy title, photos, and description stay exactly as you wrote them on Etsy.

This is the right state when you already have a polished Etsy listing and just want SKUvio to stop you overselling. A product can be fully operational in this state. To let SKUvio take over the content too, click Configure, fill in the details, and export — that promotes it to fully managed. Hover the information icon for a reminder.

Not exported (grey)

A grey Not exported badge means the product has no Etsy link at all. It exists in SKUvio (imported from Shopify), but it isn’t connected to any Etsy listing, so nothing syncs.

To connect it, either map it by SKU to an existing Etsy listing (which moves it to syncing only), or configure and export it to create a brand-new Etsy listing (which moves it straight to fully managed).

Why the distinction matters

The states let you mix approaches across your catalogue: hand-crafted listings you only want protected from overselling can stay syncing only, while new products can be fully managed end to end. You never have to hand content control to SKUvio to get inventory and order sync.
