Configure a listing

The Configure modal is where you set everything SKUvio needs to build or update an Etsy listing for a product. Open it by clicking Configure on any product row on the Products page. Every field has a small information icon that explains what it does.

You only need to configure a product when you want SKUvio to manage its Etsy listing content. A SKU-mapped product syncs inventory and orders without any of this — see Etsy listing states.

What the modal controls

The settings are grouped so you can work through them top to bottom. Each group has its own page with the full detail:

  • Listing copy — set an Etsy-specific title and description that override your Shopify text, or leave them blank to reuse Shopify. See Listing title & description overrides.
  • Category & taxonomy — pick the Etsy category from Etsy’s full live taxonomy. This also determines which colour and occasion options you’ll see. See Etsy category & taxonomy.
  • Tags & materials — up to 13 tags and 5 materials, generated by AI or set by hand. See Tags & materials.
  • Colour & occasion — primary and secondary colour plus occasion, drawn live from the category you chose. See Colour & occasion.
  • Personalization — add a buyer text box at checkout to collect details. See Personalization.
  • Flags — mark the listing as a craft supply, and choose whether it auto-publishes on Etsy or lands as a draft to review first.

Other required Etsy fields

The modal also collects the fields Etsy requires for a physical listing: who made it, when it was made, a return policy, a shipping profile, an optional shop section, your processing time in days, and the listing’s primary language (French or English). Translations are layered on top of the primary language. The shipping profile and return policy IDs come from your Etsy shop settings.

Export to Etsy

When the settings look right, save them and click Export to Etsy. SKUvio then creates a new Etsy listing (or updates the linked one), applies your pricing, tags, colour and occasion, personalization, and photos, and layers on AI translations. Once it succeeds, the product shows as fully managed and future re-exports keep Etsy up to date.
