Low-stock alerts

SKUvio watches your stock levels and tells you before you run out, so a bestseller never quietly hits zero while you’re not looking.

When stock runs low

Whenever a variant drops to or below the low-stock level (5 units by default), SKUvio sends you an email flagging the item. The alert names the variant and its remaining quantity, so you know exactly what to reorder and how urgently.

The alert is deduplicated: it fires once per dip, not on every sale, so you’re not buried in near-identical emails as a low item keeps selling. Once you restock above the threshold, the alert re-arms — the next time that variant runs low, you’ll hear about it again.

The daily summary

Alongside the individual alerts, SKUvio can send a daily summary email that rolls up your sync activity for the day and includes a count of everything currently sitting low on stock. It’s a quiet once-a-day overview rather than a real-time ping — a good way to keep an eye on inventory without watching the dashboard. You turn it on per shop from your settings. See Email notifications for the full list of emails and how to control them.

Seeing low stock in the app

You don’t have to rely on email alone. The Variants page has built-in low-stock and out-of-stock views, so you can open SKUvio at any time and see everything running low or already sold out in one filtered list. It’s the fastest way to plan a restock across your whole catalogue.

What counts as “low”

The low-stock level applies across your account and is managed for you — you don’t need to configure a threshold per product. The default of 5 units suits most small catalogues. If your stock moves at a very different pace and you’d like the level adjusted, get in touch at [email protected].
