Usage & overage
SKUvio’s AI features — Etsy tag generation and listing translation — come with a monthly allowance on each plan. This page explains how that allowance is measured, what happens when you exceed it, and what’s never metered.
Your AI allowance
Every plan includes a monthly quota for AI tag operations and, on Growth and above, translations. You can see your current usage against your allowance inside SKUvio, so you always know how much of the month’s quota you’ve used and how much is left. The allowance resets each billing cycle. See Plans & billing for the exact numbers on each tier.
What counts as an “operation”
An operation is one unit of AI work:
- Generating the AI SEO tag set for a listing counts as a tag operation.
- Translating a listing into one language counts as a translation.
So a listing translated into three languages uses three translations. Regenerating tags for a listing later uses another tag operation. SKUvio caches results, so simply re-exporting a listing that hasn’t changed doesn’t quietly burn through your quota — you’re charged for actual AI work, not for routine syncs.
Going over your allowance
If you run out of allowance mid-month, SKUvio doesn’t stop working. Instead, each operation beyond your included quota is billed as an overage of €0.03 per operation, added to your Shopify bill through the same managed billing as your subscription. There’s nothing to switch on — you keep translating and tagging, and only pay the small per-op rate for the extras. If you find yourself regularly over, moving up a plan is usually cheaper than paying overage.
Sync is never metered
This is important: inventory sync and order import are never metered and never counted against any allowance. No matter how many products you sync, how often stock changes, or how many Etsy orders flow in, those core features carry no per-operation cost. The allowance and overage apply only to the AI tag and translation features. Your day-to-day syncing runs freely on every plan, including Free.
